Shipping & Policies

PROCESSING TIMES
All items have different processing times. Please check your item's product description for information on when it will be ready to ship. Some items are made to order and require longer before they can be shipped- this will be stated in the product description. All processing times are an estimate and whilst I always endeavour to get your order out to you as quickly as possible, please allow some contingency time during busy periods.
SHIPPING:
You will have the opportunity to choose your shipping option at checkout.
UK SHIPPING:
Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery - Takes 1-3 working days to arrive once shipped, requires a signature on delivery and can be tracked online. Your tracking number can be found on your paypal transaction receipt once your item has shipped or in your shipping confirmation email from Shopify. (December delivery times may take longer as Royal Mail gets super busy around the holidays and unfortunately this is out of my hands...)
Special Delivery - Arrives the next working day after dispatch and requires a signature on delivery.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
All international & EU orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked & Signed.
This service requires a signature on delivery and can be tracked online. Your tracking number can be found on your paypal transaction receipt once your item has shipped. In case of concern, please contact me.
International orders usually take between 5-9 working days to arrive, however due to your local customs or other complications with the postal service, this may take longer, so please allow up to 25 working days for your order to arrive.
INSURANCE
If you would like to purchase added postal insurance for your order, please contact me before placing your order. All orders are insured up to £50 with standard tracked postage. If your order has already been dispatched, no changes can be made.
DAMAGE & LOSS
Please understand that I cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in the post, however I will always do what I can to minimise this risk or help locate the item. Please contact me if you think your order has gone missing or has been damaged and we will try to find out what has happened and set things right. In the case that a lost item claim has to be filed to Royal Mail, you may have to wait until they have confirmed the compensation before receiving a refund but I will keep in contact with you throughout the process if this is the case.
RETURNS
Please note that all custom & bespoke order sales are final, as they are handmade especially for you! This includes made-to-order items like witches hats, reading rings etc.
Returns are accepted on ready-to-ship pieces bought from the shop within 14 days. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the fault is on my end, in which case I will cover all costs. Once the item has been received back a full refund be issued. Original shipping charges cannot be refunded. Please note that there are no returns or refunds on sale or discounted items unless they are faulty.
If you have a problem with your order, please contact me, I will always try to make things right for you.
SIZING
If you are ordering a ring, it is your responsibility to send me the correct size. If you need help with sizing, please get in contact or pop into your local jewellery store to have your finger measured. I am happy to resize rings if the design allows it, but this may incur a small fee and the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. In the event that a ready-to-ship ring does not fit you, you are welcome to return it in line with the 14 day return policy above.
HALLMARKING
Rising Tides is a UK based company and as such, it is the law here to have any jewellery sold as Sterling Silver weighing over 7.78g hallmarked at an assay office. To keep costs to a minimum, I currently only hallmark jewellery that legally requires it (ie. if it weighs over 7.78g), meaning that your piece may or may not be hallmarked. If you would like to discuss the matter or request a hallmark specifically for your smaller piece, please feel free to contact me.
SHOP UPDATES
Rising Tides is updated spontaneously. For more information on when my shop is updated and upcoming pieces, please follow my Instagram page @rising_tides. If you cannot see the item you want then I'm afraid it has sold. As a result, collections may sometimes appear a bit sparse leading up to an update.
DELAYS
Please bear in mind that Rising Tides is a one-woman operation and this sometimes means that I miss emails or get delayed. I'm only human but I am trying my absolute best. I will always communicate on those rare occasions that there may be a delay with your order. If you have not received a reply from me please do resend your email or DM- between making, packing, shipping and all of the other things I do, sometimes things slip through.
CUSTOM ORDERS
I am not currently able to accept custom orders.
