ANCIENT MOON Handmade Copper Earrings with Turquoise

These earrings have been lovingly handmade from recycled copper to hold the moon in three phases, adorned with turquoise stone beads and earthy stamped details.

A design made to remind us of our inseparable connection to each other, the moon, and our mother Earth.

~

You will receive one of the three sets of earrings pictured. If purchased, your order will ship on the following Thursday or Monday. I am only able to make it to the post office once a week during this lockdown time. Thank you for bearing with me! Please visit the policies page for more information before purchasing, and above all - thank you for supporting handmade!

The ear hooks are copper- please do not purchase if you have an allergy to copper. Copper naturally tarnishes and care should be taken to avoid contact with liquids and perfumes.

We all gaze at the same moon.
All rise to the same sun.
Always have done.
This moon has greeted every human being that was lucky enough to live long enough to walk outside at night or be born beneath the stars.
Every animal.
Every plant.
Every drop of water.
Every single dinosaur gazed at that same moon.
Each full moon lit up the faces of our ancestors,
And the landscape,
revealing hidden predators and prey.
The moon gifted us night sight.
Inspired wild night hunts.
Moving through her phases,
she was ~ and still is ~
a constant source of guidance and influence, providing a slower rhythm to follow than that of the daily sunrise.
Another cycle.
Every night survived was a blessing in the ancient days.
Every morning a relief.
!We survived!
So easy to forget.
All cosy and civilised.
But we can claim our feral relief back.
Our untamed wonder.
Our pride at surviving
another night in the wilderness.
