This necklace has been lovingly handmade from recycled sterling silver to hold a point of beautiful Somerset Calcite. One of only a few rare crystals that are Native to the British Isles, this Calcite is found in a handful of areas around Somerset, usually discovered in some of the Mendip Hills' areas limestone quarries, of which there are a few scattered throughout the countryside. This stone has been forming under the earth of the West Country for hundreds of years before being discovered and brought into the sunlight, to be adorned with sacred silver & worn by someone special.
The circle of silver, surrounded by two groups of small silver balls are symbolic of the ancient gatherings of groups at sacred sites and circles throughout Britain & the West Country.
